Is t2i good enough for night landscapes?

I am by and large shooting at night nowadays and trying to capture architectural/landscape shots. I had a T2i before which i enjoyed and want to take it upwardly once more. Is the camera with kit lens good plenty for night landscape shooting? I will upgrade to a meliorate lens in hereafter. I love canon colors merely the debate over nikon's ameliorate dynamic range confuses me. Is at that place also much real life difference to consider nikon? I will exist shooting nigh all pics with tripod at ISO 100.

Re: Is t2i proficient enough for night landscapes?

I don't take a lot of night fourth dimension photos with my Canon T2i (550D) cameras with the kit lenses. Merely here'south i of them that I took this summertime of a eating place.  The sun had gear up; information technology wasn't quite pitch blackness still.  This was taken handheld (that is, without a tripod) then I had to use a college ISO setting.

A lot of my twenty-four hour period time Canon T2i (550D) photos with the kit lenses tin can be found on the Show Your Snaps thread. My last fix are here:

So to answer your question.  I think they would be "proficient plenty".  I don't know how much ameliorate yous could expect with another camera and lens gear up.

Perhaps y'all would like this one that I took with my Canon T2i (550D) camera and the Canon 18-55mm kit lens this by summer. Information technology was getting night; maybe at that place was some other hour or so to go before existence pitch blackness.

These are not exactly landscapes only they are night shots.

This was shot with a Canon 20D. 16-minute exposure (expect at the star trails):

This one's a bit over 2 minutes for exposure:

Your T2i would probably do better.

Thanks guys, I like canon setup and the 10-22 mm lens does not seem to exist expensive. Currently im renting a t5i and enjoying shooting with information technology.
